This is the first time a live concert streaming appeared on box office charts. WhatŌĆÖs even more surprising about it is that it created this incredible blockbuster result with only a one-night event. The Seoul concert was held in person and streamed live for the fans who could not attend the shows. Held at Olympic Stadium, the first show was held on March 10th, while the second show was on March 12th. The final show had its place on March 13th, and all the shows were available for live streaming simultaneously. Among three shows, the March 12th one was live-streamed in 3,711 cinemas in 75 worldwide theatrical markets. In North America alone, the concert was played in 803 theaters and became the third-highest-grossing movie of 2022. Meanwhile, reports say that a total of 2,465,000 moviegoers have gone to BTSŌĆÖ on and offline concerts. According to Big Hit Music, 45,000 people entered the concert hall, with 1.02 million fans present at online concerts on the 10th and 13th. Plus, the show on the 12th was live-streamed in numerous countries and attracted a total of 1.4 million moviegoers. That kind of turnout is record-breaking for a ŌĆ£live viewingŌĆØ event that played a documentary about a singerŌĆÖs concert instead of an actual film. Source (1, 2)
