c, who played the role of Jang Uk, talked about finishing the show. ┬Ā WeŌĆÖve been filming part 1 for about a year since last year. Focusing solely on the shooting for so long, I havenŌĆÖt been able to show myself in front of people, so I had many worries. But after Alchemy of Souls aired, viewers showed much love, and I was just grateful. It felt like I was being rewarded for my hard work. I think Jang Uk is a character with a huge gap. There were many lines in which his thoughts, actions, and tones were so free. I spent a lot of time making these personalities and lines sound like Jang Uk and Lee Jae Wook. From romance to bromance, I was really grateful that the viewers showed great love. I was even more grateful that they enjoyed Jang UkŌĆÖs emotional flow toward Mu Deok (Jung So Min). I think ŌĆ£Guilty Jang UkŌĆØ came from scenes where I was with Yoon Ok. They said that Yoon Ok grew feelings for Jang Uk because his eyes and actions he showed her made her think she had a chance. And I think Jang Uk knew that too. There was a line ŌĆō ŌĆ£It is unfair to see me as someone easy just because I received one-sided favors from othersŌĆØ ŌĆō and I think Jang Uk was at fault. I do think Jang Uk is guilty. The most memorable scene was the ending scene of episode 3. Jang Uk laughs after receiving a punishment of a hundred floggings, but as I tried hard not to lose heart even after getting deeply hurt, I just ended up laughing. He was heartbroken and broke into a million pieces on the inside, but he didnŌĆÖt back down and instead exploded his feelings. I think the character of Jang Uk was best shown in this scene. It was interesting and fun to see how new nicknames came out after every episode. I was just grateful to think that this was all the result of peopleŌĆÖs interest in our drama. So I like every single one of them. I say in confidence that youŌĆÖll get to see the new sides of everyone in part 2. Please look forward to seeing Jang Uk whoŌĆÖll return soon. Source (1)
