Since 2015, Shin Min Ah has been supporting burned patientsŌĆÖ treatments through the Hallym Burn Foundation, a social welfare corporation. For the past 6 years, she donated 100 million KRW (about 91,378 USD) every year. A total of 114 patients were assisted in surgery and treatment with her donations. Burned patients need several surgeries over the years. It also takes a long time for skin tissue to recover. But compared to the need that each of them require, support and interest are significantly low. After hearing the stories of burned patients, Shin stepped up to help them out in her own way. Not only did she personally comfort patients and their families, but she has also provided medical expenses for children from overseas, such as Mongolia and Cambodia, to receive proper treatments in Korea.
